Lyrics
- Verse 1 – First Gen (Machine Code)
- First generation — one-zero’s my tongue,
- Metal in my veins, I’m the fastest one.
- You can’t touch me, I’m raw, I’m real,
- Binary bullets, every bit’s the deal.
- But… I’ll admit, one wrong flip? You’re dead,
- A single bad opcode, your system’s bled.
- This is my generation’s code!
- (Hey!) We forged the road!
- From the silicon floor to the highest mode,
- You’re all just riding what we wrote in code.
- Verse 2 – Second Gen (Assembly)
- Yo, machine boys, step aside for the king,
- Second generation — I gave the ops a ring.
- Readable mnemonics, MOV and ADD,
- Still close to the metal, but human, not mad.
- Pro? I map your circuits line for line.
- Con? Count cycles like I’m doing time.
- This is my generation’s code!
- (Hey!) Low-level mode!
- You hide in numbers, I stand and boast,
- I’m the human face your CPU loves most.
- Verse 3 – Third Gen (High-Level / OOP)
- Yo, assembly heads, I don’t count ticks,
- Third generation — I write in bricks.
- If, else, loop — my logic flows,
- Functions, modules — my library grows.
- C plus sharp wow, Java, Python crowd,
- Pro? Fast to write, Con? Bugs still loud.
- Chorus – OOP Call-Out
- This is my generation’s code!
- (Hey!) Object-Oriented mode!
- Encapsulate, inherit, override —
- Our classes keep your chaos inside!
- Verse 4 – Fourth Gen (Declarative / Domain-Specific)
- Third gen coders, your loops are slow,
- Fourth generation — I just tell it to go.
- sequel queries, report on demand,
- No step-by-step, I just wave my hand.
- Pro? Ship it quick, skip the grind,
- Con? Breaks are blind, no logic to find.
- This is my generation’s code!
- (Hey!) Goal-driven mode!
- Tell the system what’s in my head,
- Hope it runs what I just said!
- Verse 5 – Fifth Gen (AI / Constraint-Driven)
- Fourth gen, you still write rules by hand?
- Fifth generation — the machine understands.
- Logic, learning, constraints in play,
- I state the goal, solver finds the way.
- Pro? I let the AI think instead,
- Con? Black box brain — could be misled.
- This is my generation’s code!
- (Hey!) Constraint-driven mode!
- State the problem, let it flow,
- Hope the solver knows what I know!
- If the tool that built my tool’s been cracked,
- Every gen’s got poison packed.
- Abstraction climbs, but the root can rot,
- We trust the base, but maybe we ought not.
- From bit to logic, from loop to intent,
- No gen’s immune to what’s underneath it went.
- Final Chorus – All Generations
- This is our generation’s code!
- (Hey!) We paved the road!
- From punch cards to AI’s plan,
- Still human hands with a fragile span.
